EFCC Discovers $1m In Badeh’s Maitama Mansion

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has recovered the sum of $1m hidden in one of the mansions of the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (retd.).

According to reports, the foreign currencies were found at his mansion at No 6, Ogun River Street, Maitama, Abuja.

It was learnt that many witnesses including his neighbours flooded the house while detectives where carrying out the search and they can testify to the discovery of the money.

So far, it’s alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has seized five of Badeh’s properties with one worth N1.1bn and the rest in several millions.

Badeh has remained in the EFCC custody since February 8, and has been charged along with a firm, Iyalikam Nigeria Limited, before Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja. He is set to appear in court today.
