Joseph Agbo, 26 and Balogun Damilola, 20, were arrested in the Oworonsoki area of the state and a pair of army camouflage, two berets, two mobile phones, 4 ATM cards, army accoutrement and identity card bearing different names, were recovered from them.
Their 15-year-old victim had reported to the police, how she was abducted by two men on army uniform, the previous night, August, 12, 2016, and raped till dawn. She alleged that she was running an errand when the men riding a motorcycle, accosted and whisked her away.
She added that they took her to Bariga by Murtala Bus stop, where she was repeatedly raped and threatened to be killed should she shout. Following her report, anti crime patrolmen mobilised to the address and the suspects were caught.
On interrogation, it was discovered that the duo were army impersonators and hoodlums terrorising the Oworonsoki/Bariga area. Police spokesperson Dolapo Badmos, said they have been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Sqaud (SARS) for discreet investigation and prosecution.
