American actress Rose Siggins, who played a legless character on “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” died Saturday in Denver, according to her reps. Siggins was 43.
She was known as the woman with half a body. She was married and had two children…
The FX network show announced her death on its Facebook page, saying: “We are saddened to learn of the passing of Rose Siggins. She was beloved by everyone in the AHS family. She was a kind person, a loving mother and a very talented actor. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time.”
Rose was born with a rare genetic disorder known as Sacral Agenesis. She had severely deformed legs with feet pointing in opposite directions which was eventually removed.
Her pregnancy was extraordinary and ground-breaking, no-one with Sacral Agenesis had ever given birth but she gave birth to two. What a phenomenal woman. RIP, Rose!
