A passenger plane travelling to New York from Saudi Arabia made an emergency landing at Heathrow after a woman reportedly gave birth on board. An emergency was declared on the Boeing 777 while it was flying over Northern Ireland.
The Boeing 777 Saudi Airlines plane was en route from Jeddah, in the Middle Eastern kingdom, to New York’s JFK airport.
Flight tracking radar shows that an emergency was declared while the plane was flying over Northern Ireland.
Flight 21 from Jeddah to New York’s JFK airport operates daily and the 10,000km flight normally takes about 12 hours to complete.
